Our Mission
Thoroughbred Racing Simulator represents a determined attempt to make Thoroughbred horse racing more popular
as a form of entertainment to the public in general, and to novice or occasional horse racing fans in particular, by providing them with reliable and competitive horse racing picks that would enable them to compete effectively against more seasoned Thoroughbred racing handicappers.
Handicappers' Format
We are one of the best handicappers of Thoroughbred racing, especially when it comes to identifying well-disguised strong long shots or discarding vulnerable favorites. But do not accept our recommendations blindly because many times we are wrong. Therefore, we are making available relevant information that you might find useful for your own independent and informed handicapping. And if you turn out to be good handicappers who can “compete effectively against more seasoned Thoroughbred racing handicappers” including us, then we would have achieved what we set out to do with TBRSimulator.
Recommended Betting Tactics
For every race, our horse racing picks consist of the top five (max) contenders, divided into two groups according to their relative strengths and expected Payout On Investment (POI). The first group, printed in bold and referred to as the A-list, are contenders for the money, including Win; and the second group, with an asterisk ('*') across their names and referred to as the B-list, are strong contenders for minor placings but not Win. But in fact, some of the B-listers might even be highly rated but have been demoted from the A-list because of their low expected POI.
These are our recommendations for the two types of wagers, namely:
- Wagers based on order of finish in a single race, e.g., Win, Exacta, Trifecta, Superfecta
Recommendation: For the Win position, choose only from the A-list; then for other placings, choose from both the A-list and B-list.
- Wagers based on winners of consecutive races, e.g., Daily Double, Pick 3, Pick 4, Pick 5
Recommendation: For the Win position for each race, choose only from the A-list.
How to Register
If you are not a member yet, click "Register Now". A panel will appear and asks for a valid email address, username and password. DO NOT INCLUDE SPECIAL CHARACTERS IN THE PASSWORD. After filling in these fields, click "SEND CODE". The system will then send a 4-digit code to the email address that you specified. Enter this code in the field provided. If you cannot find the email under your Inbox folder, check your Spam folder.
Pay only with PayPal
For the special price of $10/day, you have access to all horse racing picks of all tracks all day, except Mondays and Tuesdays when all race cards are FREE as a special offer.
If you decide to purchase a Selections Menu, you may pay only through PayPal until we install our subscription modules. This policy is for your own protection. Payment information is sent directly to PayPal using a secure connection. We do NOT store your payment information anywhere in our system. If you do not have a PayPal account, you may instead use one of your Credit Cards.

You buy the Selections Menu for a specific day, not selections for a particular track and day. With this Menu, you have access to all horse racing picks for all tracks for that day!

Distinctive Features
A Mathematical Approach to Handicapping
The breakthrough that we achieved that makes Thoroughbred Racing Simulator such a potent Thoroughbred Handicapping Weapon is our ability to translate most of the relevant factors that make up the strength of an entry into quantitative units of a proprietary rating system. These ratings are fully subject to mathematical interpretation and manipulation using both standard and proprietary statistical and simulation methods. Specifically, these ratings can be translated into relative win probabilities, which in turn can be converted into the Break-Even oddsline that lies at the core of our Thoroughbred Handicapping System.
Longshot Hunter
What makes Thoroughbred Racing Simulator decidedly different is that it was developed independently of mainstream Thoroughbred handicapping theories and ideas. The most significant innovation that we implemented was to relegate speed and pace as just two of the many important factors to consider when assessing the relative strength of a race entry. As a consequence of its unconventional foundation, but without ever intending it to be so, our product is turning out to be a fiercely competitive insurgent Handicapping Weapon and a relentless Longshot Hunter.
Self-Correcting
Our Thoroughbred handicapping system is self-correcting. It can be thrown off by a number of factors, e.g., a Thoroughbred re-emerges after a long layoff, or runs for the first time at another track, or over a different distance, or under different track conditions, or mounted by a new jockey, or is altogether unrated (new). But the system 'learns' from every misfire and automatically fine-tunes affected ratings accordingly.
Best Suited for High Risk/High Reward Decisions
This selection service is NOT recommended for strictly Win/Place/Show players. To take advantage of its uncanny ability to spot longshots (odds of 8/1 or better), Thoroughbred Racing Simulator horse racing picks are best suited for consideration in high risk/high reward decisions, e.g., Exacta, Trifecta, Daily Double, Pick 3.
